Billiken Parent and Family Association

The Billiken Parent and Family Association’s mission is to inform and involve parents to facilitate student success in achieving their goals and the University in achieving its mission; all toward a higher purpose and a greater good.

It is the goal of the Billiken Parent and Family Association to:

  • Enhance communication between the University and the parents of Saint Louis University students.
  • Engage parents in activities that promote the University and enrich students' educational development and collegiate experience.
  • Develop the parent community as a resource for the University.
  • Assist the University administration in identifying and encouraging parents, families and others to support the mission of the University.
  • Present to the University the parent perspective on the student and family experience at Saint Louis University.
Billiken Parents Association Executive Board

The executive board of the Billiken Parents Association meets on campus twice a year, including on the Saturday of Fall Welcome.

Billiken Parent and Family Association Executive Board

The Billiken Parent and Family Association executive board is designed for parents and families who would like a closer connection to the University. The board helps to shape parent and family programs at SLU. It plans and hosts events to help parents and families connect to the University and to each other. And it serves as an advisory board to the University on parent and family topics and needs.

The board meets on campus twice a year, the Saturday of Fall Welcome (late August) and on a Saturday in the spring, to be determined. You will serve actively on the events, marketing and communication, membership, or strategic planning committees and volunteer at parent and family events throughout the year, as your schedule allows. Other business is conducted via email or conference call, as needed.

The board is limited to 30 families. Executive board applications are open for the 2018-2019 academic year as the membership committee reviews all applications and strives to select a board that is diverse and representative of SLU’s student population.
